Overview
The School for the German Language Inc is situated in Adelaide, South Australia and operates on Saturday mornings during school term. Occasional classes are held on weekday evenings.
Everyone is welcome! Our objective is to teach the German language and culture to students of a German speaking background and all other language backgrounds.
The school provides classes from Preschool to Year 12.
Adult classes are also available.
The School is a not-for-profit organisation governed by a management committee.
It is financed through student fees, plus subsidies from the South Australian Government and the German Government.
The School is:
(a) registered with the External Relations Unit of the SA Department for Education;
(b) accredited to conduct the SA Certificate of Education in German;
(c) accredited to award Stages 1 and 2 of the Deutsches Sprachdiplom der Kultusministerkonferenz (German Language Diploma of the Education Ministers Conference)
The School is also a member of the Ethnic Schools Association of SA.
