German Preschool

Our preschool class offers a gentle, joyful introduction to German language and culture right here in our supportive Adelaide community school – perfect for little ones aged 4-6. (Ages are approximate; flexible placement via assessment to match your child’s emotional, social, and linguistic needs.)
What Your Child Will Learn
- Topics: Me and my family, colors, numbers, animals, songs, rituals, and festivals.
- Language Focus: Listening comprehension, repetition, and vocabulary building.
- Grammar: Implicit (no explicit rules)—focus on singular nouns, verb chunks like “ich heiße” (I am called), and basic questions.
Our Approach
Using “Die Mini Profis” (Klett) as a teacher reference, we emphasise flexible placement—children can stay up to two years based on emotional, social, and linguistic needs. Classes include songs, rhymes, movement, and internal differentiation to support every explorer.
CEFR Level: Pre-A1 (receptive/oral).
Assessment & Exams
Formative only: Observation, oral participation, and listening tasks. No external exams – just fun and encouragement!
